Canal Zone Nov. 1, 1956, 7c Carmine Skymaster (Scott #UC4/UPSS #A13) Air Post entire with 1948 1/2c Davis stamp (#136) pair, tied by BALBOA, 3-6-1963 machine cancel to U.S. Scarce and interesting Provisional usage as 8c Rate was implemented on 1-7-63 and the first 8c stationery item was not issued until 6-22-63. Also, the 1/2c stamp was obsolete at that time but available to make up the difference. Likely the entire was uprated by the Postmaster in the Post Office.
